How can you read the messages in your phone that are sent to other electronic mailboxes?

BITЕ plus mail enables us to read those messages that are received in any other electronic mailbox. You just need to activate the forwarding of the received messages to Bite plus mailbox. It can be done by the user himself or herself as well as the administrator of the respective e-mail system.

It means that the forwarding of the received messages to 371...@biteplus.lv. (entering your phone number instead of the dots) needs to be activated. It is recommended to forward the messages by using the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) option – thus you will retain the original address of the sender.

How does it work?

• A free notification SMS message will inform you about every message received in your Bite plus mailbox.
• SMS message will contain an active link to the message. Click on the link and you will be forwarded to the text of the message.
• The mobile mailbox stores the last 40 letters (size of one letter – max 5 МB).
• It is possible to read the content of the message and to download the attached files in the phone.
• You can reply to the received messages and forward them via your phone.
• SPAM filter operates.

How much does it cost?

• Notification SMS about reception of a new message – free of charge.
• Reply to the received message – free of charge.

You don’t need highly sophisticated mobile handsets, special equipment or a computer with high-speed Internet access in order to call Internet users.

With this service:

• You can call millions of Internet users worldwide from your mobile handset;
• You have no monthly, subscription, service activation fees or other fees;
• You have very low call tariffs.

How to get started?

This service is available to all Bite and BiFri customers. You don‘t need to activate or order the service separately and can start using it any time you want. The cost of the service is automatically included into your Bite invoice.

Tariffs

When using this service abroad, incoming calls, SMS, and WAP usage is charged according to your roaming tariffs.
All prices specified in Latvian lats with 22% VAT.

How does it work?

To make a call from your mobile handset via SMS:

• send an SMS message containing the text "skype" "msn" or "gtalk" and a username (e.g. "skype tom22546" , "msn tom22546@hotmail.com" or "gtalk tom22546@gmail.com", where "tom22546" is the username of the person you want to call) to the number 1662;
• after the message is sent:
  • you’ll receive a call from "Private number". Simply answer the call and start talking after the tone (it will take 1-2 sec.). Hang up as normal when the conversation is over. You’ll receive a call time and duration report;
  • if the user is offline or the connection could not be established, you’ll receive a message informing you that the user cannot be reached or the username is incorrect, or that the service is temporary unavailable.

To make a call from your mobile handset via WAP:

• • go to call.biteplus.lv, enter the Skype, MSN or Google Talk username of the person you want to call (e.g. "tom22546" , "tom22546@hotmail.com" or "tom22546@gmail.com", where "tom22546" is the username of the person you want to call) in the special window and press the "Call" button;
• after the information is sent:
  • you’ll receive a call from "Private number". Simply answer the call and start talking after the tone (it will take 1-2 sec.). Hang up as normal when the conversation is over. You’ll receive a call time and duration report;
  • if the user is offline or the connection could not be established, you’ll get a message informing you that the user cannot be reached or the username is incorrect, or that the service is temporary unavailable.

Additional information

In order to receive calls from Bite mobile users, an Internet user should allow incoming calls from anyone. A Skype user should permit all incoming calls by choosing "Allow calls from anyone" in the privacy options.

An MSN user should have at least an 8.1 software version installed to be able to receive calls from BITĖ mobile users. You can check the MSN version in the menu section "Help"> "About messenger".

If you are calling to Google Talk or MSN and in SMS text you did not specify the domain name, the program will automatically add @gmail.com or @hotmail.com.

When using this service, Bite ensures the highest quality of GSM connection during the conversation, and guarantees the best possible quality of communication with the Internet user. Bite does not assume responsibility for the quality of the callee’s Internet connection, the quality of sound reproduction equipment, special Internet user settings or restrictions of the communication program.
