If somebody calls you while your mobile phone is switched off or you’re out of the coverage area, we’ll send you an SMS message with the caller’s number and the time of the call. Neaither you nor the caller will have to pay for this SMS message.
To enable this service send sms with text "ZR" to 1600, and disable it with an SMS message texting "STOP ZR"
At Bite we don’t charge for a lot of extra services that you may currently be paying to other operators. With Bite you get more without paying more.

In case you leave your phone at home and in case your phone’s battery is empty or your phone’s been lost or stolen, just forward the incoming calls to another number. You can do this by using a special function in your handset as well as by calling us at 1601 or 80001601 and specifying the phone number that is going to rceive the forwarded calls. You can disable this option exactly the same way.
Why is it interesting?
You won’t miss a single incoming call, even if:
- your phone’s battery is empty;
- you’ve left your phone at home or in your office;
- your phone has been lost or stolen.
How much does it cost?
- The cost of the call forwarding service depends on the activated rate plan. For example, if the calls are forwarded to a Bite number with BITE 1.5 rate plan, call forwarding will not cost you anything (as with BITE 1.5 all calls in Bite network are free of charge), but if the Start tariffs, BITE 3.5 or BITE 8.5 are chosen, the call forwarding will cost you the same as a standard call.
Who can use it?
This service can be used by all Bite business and private postpaid customers.
How to get started?
You can activate the service by:
- calling our free Customer Support number 1601 (for Bite customers only) or 80001601 (for customers of other operators) and specifying the telephone number the calls should be redirected to.
- find a call forwarding function in your phone and enable it.
You can deactivate the service by:
- calling the Customer Support Team;
- deactivating the Call Forwarding function in your phone’s menu once you regain access to your phone.
Additional information
- Calls may be forwarded to only one phone number.
- Calls may be forwarded to only network subscriber numbers within the same country.
- When ordering Call Forwarding between numbers belonging to the Family or Colleagues group, the special tariffs of these services are no longer applied and the charge will be calculated in accordance with the rates of the basic rate plan..
- When ordering Call Forwarding, you’ll be unable to use Call Register and other services related to it.
Your balance is zero but you need to call urgently or send an SMS message? Only Bite Card lets you send one more SMS message or make a one minūte call to a customer of any Latvian mobile operator when your account is empty. SOS call or SMS message will be available to you after each time you reload your account.

Protect yourself with Bite!
Suddenly the amount of your phone bill has increased significantly, and you discover that you have subscribed to a value-added service without knowing about it. Unfortunately, many people are familiar with this situation.
We have developed 3 tools free of charge that will help you to protect yourself from unpleasant surprises.
1. Service order confirmation
Every time you order a value-added service via SMS, call or WAP, before the service comes into force a notification with the name of the service, its price and an opportunity to allow or cancel this service appears on the screen of your handset within few seconds.
If you wish to confirm the purchase of the service, please follow the instructions on the screen and reply to this notification by sending 1 in a similar way when you reply to an SMS.
If the confirmation is done correctly, you will get a thank you message on your screen confirming that the purchase was successful.
If you wish to cancel the service, just don’t do anything or close the notification on the screen by pushing any other key. Notification will be shown on the screen of your handset for about a minute. If you don’t do anything it will disappear soon and that would mean that you haven’t confirmed the purchase of the service.
Remember – this tool will protect you from unwanted value-added services, but even if you don’t confirm the service you will still be charged for the SMS, call or WAP that you use when you tried to order the service.
2. Reminder about subscription prolongation
If you have ordered and confirmed some subscription service, after a while its provider will be willing to prolong it, and we’ll inform you about it via SMS with the title of the service, its provider, price and information about the opportunity to disable the service.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, you can call Bite Customer Support Team at 1601.
3. Blocking the services
You can block some specific services, groups of services or separate service providers. That’s easy – just call 1601 or come to any Bite outlet.
The services can be blocked by a person specified in the contract.
What exactly are those “value-added services”?
Any call or SMS with a cost exceeding the basic price is considered to be a value-added service – that includes mobile entertainment with its broad opportunities (ringtones, tests, horoscopes, games, etc.), inquiry services (for example, calls to 1188 etc.), or calls to donation lines.
Bite is not responsible for the development, technical operations and content of various mobile entertainment services – it is ensured by other companies which are called content providers. You can order these services using your phone (via SMS or call), or using the internet. Unfortunately, very often people do not read or misinterpret the terms of use of services offered by the content providers, which may lead to unpleasant surprises about the cost of such services. Therefore we are taking care about transparency of paid services’ usage as well as the opportunity of keeping them in control.
